Digg Staff Removing Articles With Conflicts Of Interest?

Monday, April 3rd, 2006

Digg, a very well known website with an emphasis on technology and science news, has been busted for censoring its articles.

A story posted by Thomas Hawk on Zoomr.com, who had 100+ diggs had his post removed from the frontpage. Could it have something to do with the fact that the CEO of Revision3 (the company that runs digg), Jay Adelson, happens to also be the founder and CTO of Equinix, and that a primary customer of Equinix is Yahoo, the parent company of Flickr?

Within 10 minutes of this exposing article being posted to Digg, it was removed by moderators and can only be reached by direct link. The full story can be found here.
