It sounds like your former girlfriend wants to have her cake and eat it, too. She no longer wants the commitment of a relationship, but she still wants all the benefits – the companionship, the visits, the trips together.

I’d gently approach her with some questions – if she’s not interested in dating, why would she be crying if you’re asking to cut down on the dating-related activities.
